Separating marketing copy from terms
Promotional headlines and detailed terms may describe an offer differently. For research, preserve both and identify the exact point of difference. Avoid treating the headline as the full contract or treating the existence of fine print as proof that every presentation was clear.
A practical checklist
- Capture the headline and linked conditions together.
- Record dates and the page relationship.
- Describe the mismatch in neutral language.
Putting it in context
A short claim of instant processing and a policy describing reviews need to be compared as separate statements. Neither should disappear from the evidence file.
Keep in mind
This is a documentation method, not advice to select or use an offer.
