Why there is no universal licence badge
A single badge cannot communicate all the entity, activity, territory and timing questions relevant to licensing research. A transparent profile separates these fields and identifies the evidence supporting each. Missing fields should remain visible rather than being concealed by an overall verified icon.
A practical checklist
- Check the entity named.
- Read the stated territorial and activity scope.
- Look for the date of verification.
Putting it in context
A profile can have a documented historical notice while its current licensing position remains unverified. Those two statuses describe different questions and can both be accurate.
Keep in mind
No badge on this site certifies that an operator is safe or suitable.
