Withdrawal case records · QUICK REFERENCE
Keeping transaction references private
Transaction identifiers can help an authorised reviewer investigate an existing dispute, but public posts should reveal only what is necessary. Keep an original private record and a separate redacted copy for sharing. Consider the other identifiers visible beside the reference.
A practical checklist
- Preserve the complete original securely.
- Remove account names and unrelated balances from public copies.
- Use verified channels for sensitive records.
Putting it in context
A screenshot may expose more than the transaction reference: browser tabs, email addresses and unrelated activity can all be visible. Review the whole image before sharing.
Keep in mind
Redaction reduces exposure but does not make public financial information inherently anonymous.
