Requests to pay to unlock funds
A demand for another payment to release allegedly recoverable money deserves independent scrutiny. Keep the wording and claimed reason, then verify the organisation through a known channel. Do not treat a promised payout as proof that the sender controls real funds.
A practical checklist
- Save the payment demand.
- Check the claimed authority independently.
- Avoid sharing credentials or wallet secrets.
Putting it in context
A message may call a requested payment a tax, verification charge or recovery fee. The label alone does not establish that it is legitimate or legally required.
Keep in mind
Seek appropriate help for your circumstances; this article cannot validate a payment demand.
