Reviewing records after a case ends
When a case closes, review which records you still need and how they are stored. Keep obligations, possible follow-up and your own circumstances in mind rather than following an invented universal deletion date. Remove unnecessary duplicate sharing copies when appropriate.
A practical checklist
- Mark the case outcome and date.
- Review access permissions and shared links.
- Seek relevant advice where retention duties may apply.
Putting it in context
A public sharing link created during a dispute may no longer serve a purpose. Reviewing it is separate from deciding whether to retain the original private evidence.
Keep in mind
This page does not prescribe a legal retention period.
